Yep - did it for me too! Uninstall winpcap.
This fixed it for me (copied from another site). It seems there is a bug in nmap-5.52.IPv6.Beta2-win32 on WinXP SP3 (running in ESX w/ vmxnet3 adapter) where this message is displayed when scanning more than one host, e.g. 172.16.0.0/24. Solution was to move back to 5.51. Did not experience this on Win7 sp1 physical
