sSMTP is configured by default to use a host called mail as the relay. If your DNS doesn\'t return an address for \"mail\", it gives this error. Answer: add a dns record for mail.yourdomain
Assuming you don\'t have control of your DNS server (because it\'s stupid to asume you do have control of it), configure sSMTP (/etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf) to use the correct outgoing mailserver. eg: mailhub=shawmail.shawcable.com
