emerge the latest emul-linux-x86-java, and edit javapathtowtk in /opt/netbeans-6.1/mobility8/WTK2.5.2/bin/emulator to use it.

#Ubuntu:
apt-get install ia32-sun-java6-bin
Edit /path/to/bin/emulator, and change line to:
javapathtowtk=/usr/lib/jvm/ia32-java-6-sun/jre/bin/
