This means that the chassis fan in a Catalyst switch has failed. Replace the fan.

The thing is that the fan hasn\'t actually failed they all continue rotatingat a high speed, but somewhy IOS or COS thinks that the fan has actually failed, as I\'ve understood cisco replaces fans for free...

You can disable the errors within the telnet session like:

set session logging disable (or something similar).

in Cisco catalyst 2950 with COS it is done like this
set logging session disable
the above post helped me very much, wow can\'t believe I got rid of the fan fail messages...
