If you can telnet to the port on the remote host, then it\'s almost certainly your /etc/hosts file.

Check that it\'s like this:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
x.x.x.x yourhostname.fqdn yourhostname

On both the client and server.

It\'s due to name resolution. Seriously
