i got this error due to a fw issue on the remote end with a reject rule of: REJECT all -- anywhere anywhere reject-with icmp-host-prohibited
No default gateway to the internet
If this is a problem under Linux try removing the TUN interface using KDE or Gnome net tools then re-run Kvpnc if you are using this VPN control interface and it will re-create the TUN inteface. Or else create it manually. sudo mkdir /dev/net sudo mknod /dev/net/tun c 10 200
This means that you can't connect to the server because you are in no way connected to it. Most of the time this will mean that you are without an internet connection.
If you don\'t know the answer, don\'t add noise by guessing. This is a useless page.
Removal and re-creating the interface can apply to the TUN or TAP interface whichever you are using for OpenVPN.
Well I had many of these 101 and 113 errors, and they were caused neither by the date of server/client, nor by certificates, nor by any herein cited cause. My problem was a misconfigured gateway on teh OpenVPN server and of course the client tried to connect and it showed on the logs but with the faulty gateway IP the server had no way to talk to the client so connection froze. Hope this helps those like me who pulled their hair off after hitting my head against the wall. for more info and support go to www.dghvoip.com we're OpenVPN experts and integrators and offer proffesional suppor and solution in Virtualization OpenVPN and Asterisk VoIP
