Error added: 2007-01-10T19:04:02Z
See: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=624517 http://www.mythtvtalk.com/mythfilldatabase-fails-xmltv-returned-error-code-512-a-4242/ Apparently this is normally because the user who set up the configuration is often not the user (mythtv) that is automatically running the script.
If you are getting this error from mythtv, but mythfilldatabase works fine, then set the HOME variable to the correct value in the mythtv start/stop script. e.g. export HOME=/root. (assuming that mythtv is start as root)
What is \"the mythtv start/stop script\"??
/etc/init.d/mythbackend On Redhat systems, the default home seems to be at /var/lib/mythtv
Check that the {file}.xmltv is actually where it says...or write it if not. {Tortise}
