Your JVM doesn't have the correct CA certificate in cacerts, (possibly because your company is performing Man in the Middle proxying, and is generating its own certificates) Get the right CA cert from the target server. Find out what JVM you are actually using (you might have more than one - IntelliJ bundles one with its software for example). Run the keytool command to add the CA cert to the cacerts file. The command will be something like this on Linux keytool -importcert -keystore /usr/local/java/jdk1.8.0_60/jre/lib/security/cacerts -storepass changeit -file ~/Downloads/cert_file.crt -alias "root_cert" Restart the software
