Problem lies with a Firewall between the client PC running a FTPS (FTP over SSL) application and the FTPS server. What that means is that the Firewall\'s basically freaking out when the connection goes from being a nice, tidy, clear-text connection to an SSL-encrypted connection, usually because it does not recognize the age-old AUTH SSL or AUTH TLS commands. It sees what it recognizes as clear-text FTP. When the SSL negotiation starts, it sees what basically amounts to gibberish, as it\'s all encrypted. Choices: 1) new Firewall. 2) use regular FTP and lose the encryption. 3) find tech people that control all the stuff between client PC & FTPS server (including server) and have them pick a non-standard port for FTPS traffic. Lotsa Luck on this one.
Check your SSL. Is it expired?
